CHURCH LIFE

MEMBERSHIP

SACRAMENTS

Life at Christ Church Vero Beach encompasses everything from Membership to participation in the Sacraments and yes,

even the Burial of the Dead.

MEMBERSHIP

Professing Christians are eligible for membership at Christ Church Vero Beach, an Anglican Church. When we become members we are literally joining the family of Christ Church and are therefore sharing in all the ups and downs of family life.  Also, as part of a Community of God’s people, we become part of a covenant to share our love for Jesus Christ with the world and with each other.

For more information on becoming a member of Christ Church or transferring your membership from another Church, please call the Church Office at 772-562-8670 or email us using our online friendship form. One of our Pastors will contact you.

Through Confirmation, Christians affirm their faith into which they were Baptized.  A Bishop of the Church performs Confirmation through the “Laying-on of Hands” and calls on the Holy Spirit to empower individuals to live their lives as a faithful and fruitful disciples of Christ Jesus.

SACRAMENT

OF BAPTISM

Baptism is a public declaration of one’s commitment to Jesus and full initiation into the Body of Christ.  Infants, children and adults are baptized in the presence of the congregation, friends and Godparents. Baptism confirms their

decision and promise to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Baptized children are sponsored by their parents and Godparents who make a promise to raise them to walk in Christ.

HOLY MATRIMONY

(MARRIAGE)

A Christ-centered marriage between a man (husband) and woman (wife) is one of the strongest foundations of our Faith.  Persons desiring to be married at Christ Church must be baptized Christians, expressing their faith through regular attendance and service at a Christians Church or desirous of becoming a Christian prior to marriage.  All couples must complete Pre-Marital Instruction with a member of our clergy in preparation for their marriage.
